WACHOVIA OFFICIALLY CHANGED TO WELLS FARGO ON JULY 24, 2010
July 30, 2010

There's a saying that everything is bigger in Texas. And for Wells Fargo, that's true! Wells Fargo now has more than 700 banking stores in Texas — the largest retail bank network in the state — and more than 1,000 ATMs, offering 1.91 million households more convenience and providing continued support to local communities.

Wells Fargo donated $330,000 to 29 Texas nonprofits and $61,000 to five Kansas nonprofit organizations and their local affiliates chosen by Wachovia customers. The grants were part of a broader effort to provide more than $1 million this year to organizations that serve people in need. In 2009, Wells Fargo donated $9 million to 1,800 nonprofit organizations throughout Texas.

Texas and Kansas follow Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, Colorado and California, where Wachovia and Wells Fargo stores have already converted. Wachovia will become Wells Fargo in other states throughout 2010 and 2011 as part of the largest integration in banking history.
